Fees

My standard consultation fee is $200 for a 50-minute session.

This fee applies to both individual therapy sessions and parenting program sessions delivered in a tailored one-to-one format by a registered psychologist.

Rebates

Medicare

With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician, treatment may be partly subsidised by Medicare.

The current rebate is $98.95 per session, and eligible clients can receive rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

With a Medicare rebate, the out of pocket cost per session is $101.05.

Private Health Insurance

If you have private health insurance with extras cover, you may be able to claim private health rebates for psychology services.

Private health rebates vary between health funds, so it’s best to check directly with your insurer about what your policy covers.

Private health rebates are typically accessed by submitting paid invoices through the insurer's app or portal.

*Please note that Medicare and private health rebates can’t both be claimed for the same session.

The national recommended fee for a 50 minute psychologist consultation in private practice is $330.

I try to set my fees well below this amount to support access to regular therapy, while also reflecting the rigorous training, time, and deep, focussed work that goes into providing high quality, individualised care.
