Circle of Security Parenting (For parents of young children)
Circle of Security Parenting™ (COS-P) is an evidence-based reflective parenting program that helps caregivers better understand their child’s emotional needs and strengthen secure, trusting relationships. Drawing on attachment research, COS-P supports caregivers to make sense of children’s behaviour, respond more confidently to big emotions, and foster connection while supporting independence. This program is optimised to support caregivers of infants, pre-schoolers and early primary school- aged children.
In this 8-session, reflective program, caregivers can expect to:
Gain a clearer way of understanding what their child may be needing in moments of distress, clinginess, withdrawal, or push-back
Learn a simple framework that helps make everyday parenting interactions easier to think about and respond to
Reflect on how they tend to respond when parenting feels hard, overwhelming, or emotionally charged
Develop greater steadiness and confidence in moments that previously felt reactive or confusing
Learn how to stay emotionally present while also holding limits and boundaries
Understand how moments of mismatch, repair, and reconnection shape relationships over time
Explore the idea of good-enough caregiving, including how consistency and repair matter more than getting it right every time
Apply ideas from the program to real, day-to-day situations in their family
